community!
Through Jan 31, we're casting people in the bear community for an upcoming documentary shoot during IBC in Palm Springs from Feb 20 - 24, 2025. If you're a bear, chub, chaser, cub, muscle bear, etc., scroll down to apply for a video chat interview.
Executive Producer's Note:
We're currently in development on a documentary series about the bear community.
Our team, which includes an Emmy-winning casting producer and two-time Emmy-nominated producer, has produced various shows across HBO, Netflix, Hulu, etc. A UTA agent is championing the show in this early phase to help secure financing for the full series. Les K. Wright, bear historian and scholar, is helping to inform our approach. Everyone involved is currently donating time and equipment.
On a personal note, this is my love letter to the bear community. As a chaser, happily partnered, I've loved bears since before I knew there was a word for it. My love for big, hairy, cuddly, smart, sweet men started when I was a teenager, and progressed from there—Jack Radcliffe, Growlr (Disneyland for chasers), The Eagle, IBC, P-Town Bear Week, Lazy Bear, Sitges Bear Week, and now a documentary series exploring and celebrating all of it. 🐻
