Preserving Japanese Culture in Modern Los Angeles

Japanese American Cultural and Community Center

Objective: Communicate key ways the nonprofit JACCC is preserving and producing traditional Japanese culture in a way that is relevant to modern Los Angeles.

Creative approach: In a short documentary format, we interview leader Leslie Ito about her experience traveling to Kyoto and studying the profound legacies of her ancestors' culture, in order to develop a path forward for her organization to both honor these traditions and adapt them for a modern Japanese American audience.

We were very pleased with the work that Good Pictures put into the PSA they created for 1in6. The final product was thought-provoking, effective, and powerful.
